Conditions We Specialise In
Expert Care for Every Condition
Every condition presents differently in every person. We do not apply templates — we apply expertise, listen carefully and design support that works for the individual.
How We Work
Our Approach to Specialist Care
Every specialist care package at SGE Care is built on four core principles — applied consistently across every condition and every client.
Deep Assessment First
Before any care begins, we invest time in genuinely understanding the individual — their diagnosis, history, triggers and strengths. No assumptions. No templates.
Condition-Specific Training
Our care workers receive specialist training relevant to each condition they support — dementia awareness, autism-informed practice, positive behaviour support and more.
Consistent Support Teams
We build small, stable teams of care workers around each individual — so relationships are built and distress caused by unfamiliar faces is minimised.
Outcomes-Focused Reviews
We regularly review what is working, what is not and how needs may be evolving. Care plans are living documents — updated in response to real-world experience.

Questions About Specialist Care
Every care worker receives our full induction programme before working independently. Workers assigned to support individuals with specific conditions then receive additional, targeted specialist training relevant to that person's needs.
Yes. Supporting people with dual diagnosis or co-occurring conditions is something we have significant experience in — for example, learning disability and mental health, autism and challenging behaviour, or dementia alongside a physical disability.
We use evidence-based positive behaviour support (PBS) approaches, developed in collaboration with the individual, their family and clinical professionals. We never use restrictive practices as a first response and always look for the function and communication behind behaviour.
Absolutely. We encourage families and individuals to visit any supported living property they are considering — to meet the staff, see the environment and ask questions. We can also arrange a trial period.
We maintain regular communication with families throughout every care arrangement — including care plan sharing, review meetings, daily or weekly updates as requested and prompt communication if any concerns arise.
Expert Specialist Care Starts With a Conversation
Every great specialist care placement begins with listening. Talk to our team today — about the person, their condition, their goals and what truly excellent care could look like for them.
